Sam and Julie DrewGrowing Deeper Ministries is focused on providing opportunities and forums for the development of our inner lives.  Our passion and desire is to help people grow and develop in their relationships with God, others, and themselves.  In the words of David Benner, we want to "help others walk the human path in a deeply spiritual way and the spiritual path in a deeply human way."

Growing Deeper Ministries grew out of the Faith and Art ministry of Julie and Sam Drew.  Julie is an artist and her spirituality and relationship with God have always been the center of her paintings.  Her desire to share art as a way of meeting with God led to paintings as part of a worship and sermon series, worship services with a strong art element, a devotional book, and the "Art: Vocabulary For the Soul" retreat facilitated by Julie and Sam.

Sam is a former pastor in the Evangelical Covenant Church, and currently ministers as a spiritual director and retreat leader.  He has certitificates in Spiritual Formation from the Urban Sanctuary in Edmonton.  He earned a certificate of spiritual direction through the Center for Spiritual Direction at North Park University in Chicago, and, most recently, he completed the Enneagram Training and Certification Program with Jerome Wagner.

heatherHeather Seargeant has partnered with Sam and Julie helping with promotions. Her background is as a Registered Nurse for over twenty years doing hospital nursing, home care nursing and case coordination by telephone with home care. She attended Briercrest Bible School before entering nursing training. Heather has audited and taken several masters' level courses at Taylor Seminary and has a diploma from Urban Sanctuary in Spiritual Formation.

Heather met Sam while volunteering at Urban Sanctuary, and subsequently his wife Julie. Together we have formed a team to bring deeper spirituality to those who desire to hear from God and follow God's will and who want to grow into mature Christians.

Heather has taken the introductory Enneagram course that Sam and Julie teach and enjoyed this beginning to learning this interesting way of understanding ourselves.

Heather has some chronic health issues that have both enriched and challenged her. It is her great joy to be able to help Sam and Julie when and where she can.
